“There's Plenty of Room at the Bottom” – Richard Feynman

Inspired from many such great minds, we at INSPECT Laboratory believes in Innovations and Novelty to utilize our knowledge for Humanity and Environmental welfares. Our group is currently working on Quantum Materials, 3-D Printed Polymers, Porous Scaffolds and Nanofiber Membranes. Application part includes the use of Biodegradable Porous Scaffolds for Bone Regeneration and other related Bio-applications. While on the other hand, we are also contributing in the protection of the Environment by converting various type of waste into futuristic Quantum Materials.

Quantum Materials are really interested to work on because of their unique electrical, optical, thermal and mechanical properties. Synthesizing these high value added products from waste is really inspiring. We are working on synthesis of various types of Nanomaterials, mainly the synthesis of Carbon Nanomaterials from Non-biodegradable Polymer Wastes. We have already synthesized Graphene Quantum Dots (GQDs) with Green fluorescent properties from polymer waste. GQDs are having enormous applications from very basic like Super-hydrophobic to highly sophisticated applications like Sensors, Optical Imaging and Superconductors in Quantum Computing. Our groups is working on labelled optical sensors for the detection of heavy metal ions in water as well as oil, which can change its colour depending on the metal ions present in the system. We are also highly interested to work on many other innovative applications of Nanomaterials in Future.
